As the saying goes, when in doubt, stick with what you know. For those of you who have tried to make a new home in a distant land, cultural interests can be as foreign as the territory itself. As of late, I've found myself in an area where electronic music just doesn't exist. Though this has challenged my perspective on just what is pleasing to the ear, it's still difficult to say what new sounds will start to pique my interests. For now, I'm sticking to what I know.
Since learning about Leigh D Oliver back in March, his productions rapidly became something of a house staple for me. So much so that listening to his latest contribution, "Dig Deeper," is making me feel right at home. Alongside Alex Alterskye's deep and minimal nuances, this jackin' track retains the expertly chosen and chopped vocals I've come to expect from camp Oliver. Together, they've both dug a little deeper and given the music community something to write home about.
