As one of the most successful songs to be released in 2011, M83′s “Midnight City” has been subject of many remixes and covers. We’d cover them all, but it gets redundant. Emil’s just happens to be a good one.
Front-man of Emil & Friends, Emil Hewitt has a bit of a clever background: he tricked fans of the actor Emile Hirsch into believing that the celebrity had started a band of his own. The resulting publicity got his band some great exposure, and the rest was history (well, it’s still in the making…). My guess is this cover might help boost their profile even more!
