Most of us will know Mikky Ekko from being featured on Riahhna’s “Stay.” Some of use will know Ekko from his single “Pull Me Down,” namely the Hemsworth remix, but why in the heck we never got around to the the T.Williams remix of “Pull Me Down” is beyond me — it’s an impressive edit (and one of my favorites), so check it out.
In an effort not to miss another great remix, here’s one that just dropped from the Parisian électronique master, Monsieur Adi.
“Kids” is Mikko’s latest single, and was already a pretty energetic track, but Monsieur Adi has super-charged this inspirational number — it sounds like masses of kids losing themselves in pure existential delight amidst star bursts, rainbows, unicorns, confetti, and whatever else adds to the insanity. Adi’s remix creates a world of epic wonders and vivid colors, kind of like Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory — like, if you stepped inside, even just for a moment, you’d probably never want to leave.
Luckily, it’s only a song, and reality is still close at hand, so you can safely listen to this sonic utopia from the comforts of wherever you are. Strap in and enjoy!
