I think I might be a robot. My ears just flock to electronic music. I love to hear all of the different layers come together to make one harmonic piece. My music taste has greatly expanded over the past few years though, so I’m always finding things that are new to me, but have actually been around for quite a while. Modeselektor is one of those things.
“The White Flash” comes from Modeselektor’s 2007 album, Happy Birthday! and features the soft vocal accompaniment of Radiohead’s Thom Yorke. This is one of those tracks that flows right through me. I’m really digging the dreamy beat intertwined with Yorke’s smooth voice.
Modeselektor also remixed “Skip Divided” from Yorke’s debut album, The Eraser. I’d have to say I prefer “The White Flash” over the remix, though.
