"Living Lens"

Sounds like: Sigur Ros, Explosions in the Sky, Brian Eno

What's so good?

Brooklyn duo Mountains create some incredible soundscapes in their latest album, Centralia. Each song is carefully crafted, like an artist composing a painting.

This tune, “Living Lens,” is a perfect example of how patient musicians Koen Holtkamp and Brendon Anderegg are with their slow build-ups. It’s the kind of album that’s a real pleasure to put on in the background and let wash over you. With its ambient tunes, this is perfect Sunday afternoon listening.

Centralia is streaming over on Pitchfork, and is also available to purchase from Thrill Jockey.
