I’ve never heard a song start out setting my expectations as high as Martin Solveig’s new track, “Ready 2 Go.” Unfortunately, I found my bubble was burst around the 1-minute mark. That is, until the bridge kicks back in at 2:15.

There’s something thoroughly catchy about the Passion Pit-esque synthwork that draws me in as hard as a Daft Punk track. Overall, Martin Solveig maintains a record of consistently keeping my eardrums entertained.

Well, well! A radio rip of this song has been circulating the internet for a couple days now, but Madeon has officially dropped the bomb on his Soundcloud.

The musician in his cross-hairs is Martin Solveig, who began playing with turntables at the tender age of 13. He’s in his mid-30s now, but the parallel is unmissable: Madeon began composing music at the age of 11 (he’s only ~17 now), and is quickly becoming one of the most-popular electronic artists out there. Crazy awesome, right?

For those unaware, Kele is lead singer of Bloc Party, the post-punk UK band that rose to fame almost a decade ago. If you’re thinking “wow, this doesn’t sound anything like Bloc Party,” I’m right there with you. It doesn’t. But that’s kinda awesome, right?

The original track that spawned this remix came in a little short of 4 and a half minutes. Hardwell, on the other hand, has opted for a 2 minute build-up track with synths that tease the heck out of the listener. I could easily see it dragging on once the beat drops, but the fact that it pretty much ends right there just makes me more keen for it.
