Musical duos are a dime a dozen, and in order to set yourself apart from other couples, you have to create your own unique and distinct sound. That is why I am stoked on the music of Chicago duo My Gold Mask, because it’s sultry, mysterious, and rampant; it demands your full, undivided attention.
With comparisons to early Yeah Yeah Yeahs, this band has a limitless upside. However, with potential comes pressure. Pressure that these two can certainly handle.
“In Our Babylon” is a teaser single from their upcoming release Leave Me Midnight, which will be out sometime in 2013. The sooner the better, because this teaser track isn’t enough to fulfill my need to know.
