Nicolas Jaar has teamed up with Theatre Roosevelt (I won’t blame you if you read that as “Theodore” initially) for a pretty bizarre, yet totally enjoyable experimental track.
I’m actually having a hard time trying to categorize this one. Normally, I associate Nicolas Jaar with more downtempo sounds. Certainly this track is quite mellow, but there’s a strong bias toward a house vibe. Dare I try to define it as future garage?
No matter the categorization, it’s great to hear artists experiment a little bit with their sound. Together, these guys have created an awesome sound.
