What's so good?

The first thing I thought when I heard this song was, “Oh… yes. Oh yes. Yup.” Soon you will understand why. Meet Onuinu aka Dorian Duvall- a resident of Portland and a pioneer of the disco-hop music scene. His single, “Happy Home” is just a peek into what he’s put together for his debut album Mirror Gazer.

Onuinu likes to call his music style “disco-hop” and I can see why. As soon as I heard this song I knew it would probably be the next big thing. Then I read that he’s touring and opening up for Yacht. Dorian’s definitely got a gift for bending multiple genres to fit his own style and that happens to be translating very well for him. This track grabs you from the very start and doesn’t let go until the end and then it’ll probably happen all over again because how can you just listen to this once?

“Happy Home” is soaked in synths, psychedelic rock guitar, infectiously funky bass and such a sweet, sweet melody. I really can’t wait to hear the entire album. Unfortunately, Mirror Gazer doesn’t come out until August 21st but be sure to check back for any new Onuinu releases in the meantime!
