It’s been more than a year since Phoenix took the indie rock scene by storm, and more than a year since Alex Metric remixed one of their flagship songs, “Lisztomania.” And yet, here we are at Indie Shuffle, pulling it from oblivion and giving back to you, our loyal visitors — just because a song wasn’t leaked yesterday doesn’t mean it’s not new to you, right? (Check out this Philippians remix, for example).
In general, I’ve come to find that Alex Metric has a knack for remixing, and I don’t think I’m alone. He rose to prominence after being voted the “Best Remixer of the Year” by London’s XFM, and has since become a regular at Glastonbury, Exit and V Festival.
