Pomplamoose

Indie jazz group Pomplamoose first caught my attention with their rather surprising cover of Lady Gaga's "Telephone", which was covered per my recommendation on The Music Ninja. I instantly went out to grab their album, only to realize that they'd just released a new cover/tribute album. Slowly, the pieces began to fall together. The style of their "Telephone" video was awfully familiar to something I'd seen nearly a year ago, though I couldn't put my name on it. However, upon seeing the names of this duo, it didn't take me long to remember where I had seen Jack Conte: namely, his Youtube hit for the song "Out of Nowhere." Combined with Nataly Dawn, this is bloody brilliant! Their new album covers a number of artists, including Michael Jackson's "Beat It" and Beyonce's "All the Single Ladies".
