Welcome to the new music of 2013, Shufflers. For many of you, awaking from your drunken NYE stupors, this will be the first thing you will hear. And if that’s the case, then you can thank Ryan Hemsworth for kicking off your New Year right.
“BasedWorld” takes but a moment to situate itself in your ears before blasting what I can only describe as delectable, crystal fire cascading at you through the help of some awesome bass. Hemsworth’s production is known to juxtapose pristine sound with urban noise, but this has him trending into Crystal Castles
If you aren’t familiar with Hemsworth’s work, you really should be–his track, “Overthinking”
was one of my favorite instrumentals
of the year. He’s definitely about to blow up into Clams Casino
