Sene's Brooklyknight was released last week via Plug Research. The album is a cohesive collection of musings about the world and Brooklyn, an introspective look at the first quarter century or so in the life of a young MC.One of my favorite tracks on the album is "Holyday," featuring songstress Denitia Odigie (be on the lookout for more from her soon). Sene details his life perspective, sharing a bit of his cross-country journey that had him living in California for 5 years and its effect on the young mind. The song encapsulates what is perhaps the most powerful quality of the album as a whole; it's a very personal view into the maturing process of a young artist.
