Get ready for a mind fuck masterpiece! Shadows on Stars have just released their self-titled album and it’s in high demand. It might take a few listens to wrap your head around or you might just get it the first listen. Either way, this album is seriously fun.
Shadows On Stars self-titled LP is a sporadic and spontaneous mash-up of ethereal electronica and experimental orchestral mixes. You’ll find that the songs weave in and out of classic stylings, and then take really obscure approaches to what would otherwise be a style that most people wouldn’t latch on to. Luckily for Shadows On Stars, people are latching on and for good reason. They tend to keep a strong pop undertone with a very pronounced art-rock layer on top. Sometimes it’s pleasantly predictable, other times you have no idea what direction they’re about to go in. Just take it in stride… there’s a method to their madness.
One thing that’s consistent is their ability to push the envelope while still having a firm grasp on what will appeal to more than just a small demographic. Shadows On Stars are filled to the brim with energy-packed tunes with tons of synths, fast paced drums, classic guitar (sometimes), and anthemic, infectious vocals (always). I’d be surprised if one of these tracks doesn’t get stuck in your head. If this one has peaked your interest, show some love and get their self-titled LP, out now!
