Um…..SMD is that really you? Taken from an Annie Mac Radio One show, “Seraphim” is an unexpected single off the legendary British electronic duo’s upcoming album Unpatterns out May 14.
Spectacularly mainstream in its sound, SMD definitely took a turn from their last album, Delicacies, which was a 10-track all-out banger of progressive tech-house. “Seraphim” harkens back to their “Hustler” days, playing up sexy female vocals and a slow but snazzy, slightly fuzzy beat.
The official single is out April 9 in anticipation of the LP this May. I’m just curious to see where this amazing duo is going to go with the rest of the tracks. Perhaps the world should prepare for the softer side of SMD.
