Last week we picked up Skrillex's new song "Leaving," a downtempo future garage diddly. Naturally, this led us to lament the downfall of Skrillex's dubstep ways. Was the womp womp wobble gone for good?!?!
Fear not! Turns out the song was part of an EP that included two other tracks, "The Reason" and "Scary Bolly Dub." Yep, you guessed it: both of them have decidedly dubstep undertones. In fact, the latter is so intense that I figured I"d hold off, and simply feature the more approachable of the two.
That said, "The Reason" isn't a tame single by any means. It's got some serious wobble to it, and I'm sure that for the core Skrillex fans out there (wait, are there any?), it likely struck the right chords.
