Following a string of quality Katy Perry remixes, The Jane Doze come through in a big way with what may be their most ambitious mash-up to date. “Call Me Skrillex J. Robinson,” is a smooth blend of Porter’s “Language” and Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe,” with some Skrillex and Jessie J layered in for good measure. Yeah, my head almost exploded, too.
It’s hard to argue against the mainstream appeal of this track and the artists it features. It’s also hard to argue against the dance floor wizardry of The Jane Doze. Give “Call Me Skrillex J. Robinson” a listen or two and hear why for my money, it’s one of the best remix/mash-ups of the year. Antlers up.
