Detroit's one and only Shigeto is back with a classic, jazz-inspired redux. Having previously released with Ghostly International, Shigeto continues to hook his listeners with profound sonic texture on slow-paced tracks.
The redux is beat-driven and stirs emotions, with bright jazzy stabs accompanied by hypnotizing vocals. A sparkling breakdown halfway into the song is a breath of fresh air that keeps the listener interested and entertained.
This is a great way to start 2014 for Shigeto. His sound borders on Four Tet and DJ Koze, but lends a new perspective from his 2013 album, No Better Time Than Now. The track is up for free download on his SoundCloud; grab it here.
