Holy shit, batman! This is what Sufjan Stevens should have sounded like on his most recent album (which I found to be quite disappointing, though I’m sure many would disagree). A track like this would totally have changed my mind.
Michigan-based producer Zach Saginaw’s take on “Futile Devices” Is a beautiful take on Sufjan’s often soft-spoken style. To boot, the layering, awesome bass-line and absolutely fantastic instrumentation are ear-melting. This might be the perfect track for winter, but it’s certainly working for me during San Francisco’s warm February weather.
