The beat thumps, and you take your first tentative steps out the door. Then the blood begins circulating, as it should. “Feet don’t fail me now” — the opening line — words of encouragement that ring out like a personal cheerleader. At the drop of the bass, you break into a full sprint, and the beat goes on, and you don’t stop, and you have the urge to press repeat for all eternity.
Like a sonic injection of caffeine, M.J. Cole’s remix of T.E.E.D’s “Tapes & Money” is working out the tender walls of my tired brain. And though I’m stationary at moment, the tiny lemmings in my head have begun their day, and they are thanking me for this legitimately stimulating tune. After one listen, yours will thank you too.
