Edit: Track removed and replaced with a chill remix. Original unavailable.
Tahiti 80′s latest album The Past, the Present, and the Possible might have received less-than-exciting reviews from the major press (ahem, Pitchfork), but there’s one track that’s a stand out for me: “Easy.” It has a happy feel to it, one representative of the French indie pop scene (a la Jamaica).
Tahiti 80 has been around for ages, starting out somewhere near Paris in 1993. I can’t help but say they remind me a bit of Phoenix, but when you boil things down that’s probably just because they’re French.
The Past, the Present, and the Possible was released on Human Sounds and is available for purchase here.
