If you’ve never heard a Taquwami track before, then today is your lucky today. The Japanese producer has never been featured on Indie Shuffle, which makes me all the happier to share this beautiful track with you. If you already happen to be a big Taquwami fan, then you know what a treat we’re in for with this one.
“All My Life” is one of the better experimental tracks to come out of 2012. It reminds me of a dope remix you’d find on the back end of a WEDIDIT release. It’s got that big bass sound, but with such wonderfully intwined ambient elements. Taquwami gave it his record the genre tag “blueeeeeeeeeeeee [sad]” — whatever that means.
Taking it at face value, “All My Life” is meant to be a melancholic journey. I find it damn powerful. Taquwami makes wonderful use of vocal samples and synths, building towards an amazing burst of energy at the 2:32 mark.
