SposhRock has knack for remixes. If you’re not familiar with his work, check out this Miami Horror remix or this Ratatat vs. Lupe Fiasco mashup. But Teen Daze? That’s one I wasn’t expecting.
Sure, the clues have been there. His recent remix of Washed Out should have been the giveaway. How much more chillwave can you get?
Putting that all aside, I think this remix is all about the abrupt change that comes at 1:40. Seriously — what’s not to like about it? It basically breaks the song into two, and caught me totally off guard. If an artist can do that, they win.
