As Valentines Day quickly approaches I thought it would be a nice idea to post a song that many people love and recognize but offer a stunning new version to keep things interesting.
This cover of The Cure’s esteemed 1989 track, “Lovesong,” is featured on her sophomore album 21, and yes, I know that it’s almost impossible to stand up to such a classic but if anyone can do it, it’s Adele.
This rendition is slowed down perfectly, giving that soulful sparkle that she always does so seamlessly. She transforms the original into a charming, soft, acoustical ballad with her rich, melodic voice and breathes new life into the song without trying too hard.
