A few weeks back, Indie Shuffle founder Jason Grishkoff promised you guys more dubstep — so here it is. Before I go on, I must say that I’m not a fan of dubstep, and probably won’t be posting anymore. That being said, this one’s simply too good to miss out on!
When my friend showed me this, he introduced it as the new “Sweetshop,” and I can see what he means. Although “Sweetshop” is dubstep crossing into house, and “Constellation” sounds like electro-emo, there are definite similarities between the two — mainly the level of wobble.
I expect a number of tweenies on YouTube will be telling the world about how this song makes them want to carry out various disgusting acts, such is the level of filth in this track. I normally tend to steer clear of so-called filthy dubstep, but there is some artistry in this track: the relation of the drums to the beat is Caspa-esque, and best of all, this is really catchy — it isn’t just mindless wobble, it’s actually got a tune!
I guess I’d say this is my favourite “club-step” track of the year so far. Not exactly high praise from me, but I’m sure the dubsteppers out there will be on this one like a tramp on chips.
