What's so good?

Lighthouse and The Whaler have just recently released their second album This Is an Adventure, and no doubt about it — it really is quite the adventure. I hadn’t heard their debut album before and had only caught glimpses of tracks off their Pioneers EP that was released earlier this year, but what I did hear, I enjoyed thoroughly.

“Chromatic” is a delightful indie pop number on the album containing some really beautiful instrumentation. The use of the violin, glockenspiel, guitar, wandering synths, and the occasional handclap aren’t just thrown in for the hell of it, they  all truly add to the emotional ride of the song.

“Are you so chromatic? The way you are, unpredictable,” chimes on and on during the chorus and will slowly but surely get stuck in your head.

Check out the rest of the album, as I’m sure you’ll find a few more gems in there.

What do you think?
