What's so good?

The first three seconds clinched my ears into thinking it was a summery impression of Gogol Bordello’s “Through the Roof and Underground,” but as the song gained momentum I was easily reminded of The Beatles Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (that I listened to on a cassette tape back in 2005).

Turns out The Wind is your quintessential Long Beach band, mixing their beach town’s laid-back temperament into a binding song full of energy. The song features clapping, whistling, and a cool mix of instrumentals that frame a nice setting for their smooth, surf-sound.

And get this. They are new, unheard, and ready to be put on the map. And while winter is basically here (in the North, at least), there is still room in our daydreaming and wishful thinking to jam out while pretending we are tanning in our favorite bikini.
