Not too long ago, Christiana covered Twin Sister's debut album In Heaven, rightly observing that the band's style ranges greatly from song to song. For example, the track she featured was "Daniel," which is a mellow dream-pop journey. The contrast would be "Bad Street," a song that I featured as SOTD not too long ago -- a markedly upbeat synth-pop track.Enter Balam Acab to tackle another track from the album, "Kimmi in a Rice Field." As with most remixes, Balam takes the track in a different direction -- mellowing things out (and removing some saxophone). The result, however, is not necessarily a track that one wouldn't expect from Twin Sister. Perhaps the easiest way to describe this is that he's taken a "Bad Street" and turned it into a "Daniel." I'll let the song do the rest of the talking.
