Holy fucking harmonies, Shufflers! This live cover of Usher’s seminal hit “Climax” soars with the ethereal beauty of two beings in the throes of some otherworldly bedroom loving. We’ve featured remixes and covers of “Climax” before, but none that simulate the sublime out-of-body moment that comes at the end of some passionate melding with your partner as this one by Dirty Projectors.

Yeah, you just read the band name right. Amber clearly learned something from her solo sidestep out with Major Lazer and Diplo last spring; this beyond intimate folk/R&B fusion of the track’s arrangement makes me excited for the band’s future direction. Sure, they’ve always been avant garde, but they’ve never had vocals that could melt whip cream on the body of your lover through the heat of just a few notes.
