In 2010, Jack Tatum exploded onto the scene with his solo release Gemini, under the moniker Wild Nothing. With a nostalgic sound that seems to pine for something 80s, his style has won over countless blogs.

Today, he released the second single off his upcoming album Nocture, due late-August via Captured Tracks. “Paradise” picks up right where he left off, embodying a moody, decades-old feel. Perhaps the tone has something to do with his focus on the moon cycle?

There was a great deal of restlessness that went into the creation of this album. The moon cycle has come to represent this for me; a slowly changing symbol of where these songs feel most at home, a sleepless state of mind.”
