I tend to pull out Wye Oak's 2011 release Civilian for all sorts of listening occasions, so to see a new single coming from the Baltimore-based duo got me pretty excited.Somewhat surprisingly, "Spiral" comes off an Adult Swim compilation, the third release in a series of singles that have so far included Unknown Mortal Orchestra and The Hives. The song is a little uncharacteristic relative to the band's last release, steering clear of the general sad theme of Civilian.
