XXYYXX’s method to his chillwave madness is fluency. “You Are Why I Am Invisible” infuses fading vocals and glitchy drum tracks on a hummed backdrop. Marcel Everett’s unique beat work, compiled with his glorious samples extracted from jazz vocalist Sarah Vaughan, allows for this track to reach its full XXYYXX-esque potential.
I have very little to say about this song, other than the fact that it is pure listening bliss. This young Orlando resident is going places. Keep your ears open.
