Someone, somehow, somewhere has uploaded the entire stream of Random Access Memories to Grooveshark. While that's been removed, you can now listen on iTunes.
Among the lineup is a track that I've been looking forward to a whole lot: "Instant Crush," which features Julian Casablancas (lead singer of The Strokes). It's a mellow song that features the computerized vocals we're so familiar with from Daft Punk -- save for the fact that the voice is undeniably Julian Casablancas.
My reaction after the first listen? "This is actually pretty weak" -- save for that sick guitar solo. What do you think?
Update: Early reviews had slammed the album as a joke. But having given it a full listen through, I'm anything but disappointed. I guess when your expectations are at rock bottom, there's only one way to go and that's up. So, perhaps I should thank the naysayers for setting the bar low. This whole album is amazing.
