Why do we like this?
Ablebody is pretty new on the scene. Well, sort of. Being an ex-member of The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Christoph Hochheim has ventured off on his own musical path.
"Sally Hot Jazz" is a beautiful rendition of old 80s synth pop and modern day indie pop. The ambient approach is thick and lush with twinkling synths, creeping bass, and an upbeat tempo. From start the finish, it's saturated in beautiful chords and melodies that refuse to let up. As synth-soaked this song is, it's still breezy and slightly dark, kind of like a creepy fairy tale.
Ablebody will be self-releasing his debut EP, All My Everybody, on January 29, 2013. Mark it down if you're jonesing for some more creepy synth pop.
