Angus Dawson, a native of Perth, Australia, is great proof (if you needed it) that the indie music scene down under is worth staying on top of. With such a wide range of ultra-talented musicians waiting to be discovered, I hope Angus Dawson is next up to be internationally exposed.

"Battles" is all about build. Uptempo layers continually shift and grow throughout this song that, like catching a solid wave, continue to build slowly throughout its duration. Then before you know it, the song hits its peak, softens back out, and your dreamy ride is over.

When all is said and done, I'm left wanting more, yet feel completely satisfied with this track.
