Knock Knock, Who's There?
Astaire has created something strange and unique in "Knock Knock" — a multifaceted little chill track that kept me guessing.
"Knock Knock" feels like it's just about to change with every second that passes by. The track has this chilled and yet quite fascinating feeling of acceleration like it's going to pick up another genre at some point. It's a beautiful balance on the tip of a knifepoint.
It feels supremely multigenre even tho it's a chill track — there are some Cuban cafe rhythms, a hint of acid jazz themes, and a beautiful electro overtone that just settles it all into each other.
I'm not sure who is at the door, but I definitely want to meet them!
