Why do we like this?

Over the year's I've built up the ability to very quickly identify similar artists. In the case of "Runaway" it was a piece of cake: Joywave.

Sounding like another band isn't necessarily a bad thing. In this case, it actually happens to be what stood out for me on the single.

The LA-based duo started as roommates, but have since grown to be a real-life band. Their quality hasn't gone unnoticed, either -- Crazy Heart Records (NVDES, Ghost Beach) picked up their first single, and I believe this one makes the cut as well.
