Why do we like this?

Justin Vernon was recently nominated for somewhere around 4 Grammys. Naturally (or not), that has led to an explosion of remixes and covers, many of which have actually been quite impressive. And so Deadwood Floats has joined the club with their own rendition of "Holocene."

Perhaps one of the easiest covers to pull off is a piano rendition of an acoustic song, though that doesn't necessarily detract from the enjoyment of the original. Some might argue that as a testament to the genius of the original artist, but I think it's fair to say that Deadwood Floats have pulled together quite a nice version.

The one confusing component? The album containing this song is available for free download from Bandcamp here. However, the release date is listed as being in 2010...which makes no sense, given that Bon Iver's self-titled album was dropped only a few months back. You can't explain that!
