Detroit native Boog Brown has been putting in work in the indie circuit for the past few years and seems poised to make 2012 a big year for herself.
The MC/poet just dropped her full length remix project The Brown Study Remixes, she has her first seven-inch record dropping this month, and she is re-releasing her debut album with the underrated Apollo Brown (called Brown Study) on special edition vinyl in March. She also has revealed plans to record a new project with famed West Coast fOnkateer Georgia Anne Muldrow that should be released sometime this fall on Mello Music Group.
On a more personal note, she has a birthday celebration planned at 529 in Atlanta, Boog's second home, on February 9 with Diamond District's yU performing live.
As an affirmation of what the grassroots artist plans to accomplish in 2012, Boog Brown releases "Detroit," an ode to her hometown with production from Apollo Brown, for free for you.
