Why do we like this?

I'm not entirely sure how this one slipped my radar, but the duo of James Mercer and Danger Mouse (better known as Broken Bells) have gone ahead and unleashed their second single off upcoming album After The Disco.

The title track, "After The Disco," is a predictably upbeat and clean serving of indie pop. And in and of that, I find it somewhat of a disappointment. Sure these two have a great formula, but with this single they hardly seem to be trying anything new.

As a standalone, it's a decent track. Within the context of prior Broken Bells songs, it's hardly a standout.
