Why do we like this?
Earlier this month, we premiered a song titled "Stay Forever" by London producer Catching Flies. It was our first taste of the rising talent's new EP, The Long Journey Home. I also had a chance to interview Catching Flies, so check that post out as soon as you're done drifting away on the producer's new cut, "Grey Skies."
The track has similar vibes to one of Catching Flies' more notable remixes, "Golden." There are hip-hop/trip-hop elements at play, which go quite nicely with Catching Flies' downtempo approach to electronica. I love the way those synths stretch out, creating a dynamic foundation for the looping vocal sample.
