There's so much to love about "Let Your Hair Down" – sounds that reference little bits of all things that get me geeked (future garage, R&B, house, tech.) Because of which, I've tagged the most random collection of artists to compare to this track in order to build some sort of common denominator that probably doesn't even exist. What I mean is, OURI is unique.
Oddly enough (and probably only for me,) OURI is the second artist I've blogged about tonight that is based in Montreal. To be fair, she was born in France but since Canada has always been known for breeding strong musicians, and people from France are usually sickeningly cool, OURI is a double threat and I'm sure she's proud to call Montreal home.
"Let Your Hair Down" comes off an EP she produced and co-wrote with another artist named Mind Bath. Released via Make it Rain Records, if I had to sum up the 3 track EP I would say it's like experimental R&B tech beats, aka you won't want to sleep on it.
