At first glance, this might seem like a collaboration between bunch of arbitrary letters, but these two acts are anything but random.
CVIRO and GVNXVS are two separate acts that are both out of the Gold Coast in Australia. CVIRO is 'Cairo,' an R&B vocalist who has paired up with his producer mate and frequent collaborator GVNXVS (loosely that's 'Genius').
I'm all for this. Homegrown R&B is not something I routinely associate with music out of my homeland. Full props then to these guys who tell us "it's all about benjamins."
"Benjamins" is loaded with everything that it should be -- namely, finger snaps and R&B-style vocal harmonies. Beyond that, "Benjamins" has a smooth and nostalgic quality while remaining effortless and catchy as heck.
The full EP of "Benjamins" will be out late November via October Records.
