Why do we like this?
We're super pumped to premiere this new single from Leeds-based Debian Blak. The UK producer first appeared on Indie Shuffle at the end of March with the Aaliyah-sampling "Chemistry."
From the get go, I've been a big fan of the way Debian works with female vocalists. For "Push It," he enlists Mt. Wolf lead singer Kate Sproule to provide her special touch on his atmospheric dance track.
Debian Blak's music is hard to classify, but is widely accessible. There is a comforting repetition to "Push It." The track has these glitchy, hip-hop-inspired vibes that blend well with its colder, UK dance floor vibes.
The single will be available to purchase on 3rd June via Audio Doughnuts, with remixes soon to follow from Shox, Marcel Lune, and Real. Also, be on the lookout for Debian Blak's Six Months From Mars EP, which should be out sometime soon.
