Why do we like this?

Melbourne band DIET's debut single has been a long time in the making; the first musical seeds were sewn a couple of years back with a group of mates on a European holiday. Upon their return, the five young lads formed the band you see today, with their debut recently finding its way onto the airwaves.

"Your House" is one of those tracks that seems to bridge a number of eras, with strong nods to The Smiths as well as recent contemporaries Beach Fossils and Duck Tails. Upbeat and poppy with just the right amount of jangle, it's left to Ben O'Loughlin to bring the track home with some absolutely ripping vocals.

The first taste of the band's upcoming EP, I feel this is just the start for a band brimming with potential.
