Why do we like this?
It seems like R&B flavored electronica is on the rise, and I am definitely okay with that, with artists like Giraffage and XXYYXX putting their own spin 0n the genre that dominated the charts in the 90s. Another one of these talented young bedroom producers is Different Sleep.

Different Sleep has just released a brand new track via his SoundCloud page and it does not disappoint.  With a super laid-back, bass-infused smoky atmosphere, "Get Ahead" is dominated by some bassy, pitched modified vocals pleading over some swirling synths and guitar chords, all out in the middle of a rain storm. It kind of makes me feel like I'm in a John Cusak movie as I'm trying to explain something stupid I did to the love of my life. All is finally resolved with the jazz-inspired  guitar solo that takes the track out, and you're officially hooked to Different Sleep's blend of electronica and R&B.
