I love Favela. A lot. The young producer has proven himself to be expert at weaving blissful R&B-inflected melodies, recently putting out one of my favorite tracks of the past year, "Easy Yoke," which is simply stunning.
The Leeds-based artist has now put his own spin on "Helios" from alternative four-piece Emily and the Woods, a band earning a great deal of respect for their genre-straddling tunes, which blend bluesy vocals with gentle electronic touches and shimmering guitars.
Favela's remix exalts the original into ethereal realms, layering chilled bassy clicks with hazy synth patterns and dicing up the vocals to create a truly hypnotic melody. This stunning remix is the product of two top talents and would make the perfect addition to any summer playlist.
