I don’t usually listen to a lot of hip-hop/pop influenced music, but the latest single from Toronto-based musician and music producer Erich Mrak, “With You,” is an exception.
It’s got a catchy rhythm to it, especially in the chorus, and the subject of whether or not it is right to get involved in a serious relationship with someone is always going to be a relevant topic that will appeal to listeners. Although its a subject many other artists have treated, his lyrics sound genuine enough and are not too formulaic.
There’s not a great deal of information around yet about Mrak, who is still an unsigned artist. He began writing music at a young age and has also done some producing.
Other past releases include “Think About It” and “Faces.” He headlined his first show in Toronto last month.
