Why do we like this?

This song is phenomenal for so many reasons.

1. The otherworldly intro that has the power to transport you to a pirate ship in search of the a utopian dance floor and treasures of the soul.

2. The mystical vocals of Joe Dukie that bring a smile to my face on the most stressful of days.

3. The accumulation of brass and bass that Fat Freddy manifest time and time again.

I could go on forever, but for now have a listen to "Blackbird," which is off the band's 2013 album of the same name. The groovy gents are on their Slings and Arrows Tour in Australia and their native New Zealand. If you are in the vicinity, please bear witness to their majestic talent on my behalf.

I am burning with desire for the release of their album in 2015! In the interim get a hold of the "Slings and Arrows" single on iTunes, which is just as sweet if not sweeter as " Blackbird."
