Why do we like this?

Freddie Gibbs comes from a long lineage of hyper-masculine gangster rap. Loud boasts, detailed violence, nihilistic principles and all the mental and personal strife that comes along with those creative building blocks are robust in his bars. 

Over a classic break-beat, Gibbs and special guest Black Thought do what they do best on "Extradite." The experience just may highlight how much of Gibbs' foundation overlaps with the backpacker ethos, while some listeners may be surprised to hear just how at home Tariq Trotter can sound when he's rhyming in the gutter.
